I am Almu Hernández. I have spent more than 15 years working in Analytics, Data Science and consulting, connecting data, context and business to understand problems and turn them into decisions.
I studied Physics and later completed a Master’s in Applied Statistics. My career has taken me through Analytics, Data Science, Business Intelligence and consulting, working across industries, countries and international teams.
Throughout that journey, I have learned to move between technical work and business: understanding context, organising complex problems, prioritising what matters and communicating it simply.
In recent years, teaching has also become an important part of my work. Teaching has required me to do something I particularly value: simplify without losing rigour and connect tools with their real application.
I am currently incorporating AI into the way I work and developing new projects to explore how it can add value in Analytics, research, automation and learning.
2010–2017
Organisations
Nielsen · Direct Line Group · GfK
My first professional years took me from data analysis and market research towards a perspective increasingly connected with marketing, product and business. Madrid, Bristol and London also marked a period of adapting to new contexts and working in international environments.
2017–2023
Organisations
Kernel Analytics · BCG · TheWhiteam · Chiper · International Academy of Consciousness (IAC) · independent projects
Back in Spain, I developed my career in Data Science and consulting, working with organisations, teams and clients across different sectors and countries. These were years of very different projects that strengthened my ability to understand problems, structure them, prioritise and connect analysis with business decisions.
Since 2024
Organisations
Adalab · Ironhack · Nothiring
After years working in Analytics, I began bringing my professional experience into teaching and mentoring. I discovered that teaching is not only about explaining tools: it also means helping people understand how to approach problems, develop judgement and connect learning with the professional world.

Candidata · Analytics · Teaching · Projects · Applied AI
I began a more independent stage combining Analytics, consulting, teaching and my own projects. Candidata emerged as part of that process and, at the same time, I began incorporating new AI-based tools and ways of working and exploring how they can add value to my work and new projects.
